About the role
Responsibilities
- Install and maintain PCBs including rework and replacement soldering of discrete hardware components
- Perform bring-up and debug of server hardware components, PCBs, GPUs, and interconnects
- Execute hardware modifications including cable routing and installation of GPUs, NICs, and memory
- Diagnose and troubleshoot power, thermal, cooling, and PCIe error issues
- Support failure analysis and root-cause investigations
- Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, changes, and test results
- Support lab and data center operations including rack builds and audits
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with hardware, PCBs, and discrete components
- Experience in lab or data center ESD environments
- Ability to troubleshoot complex server electronics and GPU issues
- Associate degree or trade education certification in Electronics, Computer Engineering or related field
- Knowledge of electronics theory and design
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with liquid-cooled or hybrid-cooled server systems
- Experience with high-power GPU racks
- Proficiency using DMMs, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers
- Ability to read and understand schematics and BOMs
- Prior work in hyperscale data centers or NPI environments
