Electronics Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electronic circuits and PCB layouts with a focus on reliability, safety, and manufacturability
• Create schematics and PCB designs, ideally using Altium Designer
• Perform component selection and design calculations to meet performance specifications
• Conduct design verification and validation in accordance with IEC 60601 and other applicable standards
• Collaborate with mechanical, software, and systems engineers to ensure seamless integration
• Support prototype assembly, debugging, and troubleshooting
• Prepare and maintain technical design documentation
• Support transfer to manufacturing and assist with supplier engagement for components and assemblies

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline
• Demonstrable industry experience in electronics design
• Strong knowledge of analogue and digital circuit design
• Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout
• Experience with electronic testing tools such as oscilloscopes and spectrum analysers
• Familiarity with EMC design considerations and design-for-manufacture (DFM) principles
• Experience in regulated industries, preferably medical devices, is desirable
• Understanding of medical device standards (ISO 13485, IEC 60601, IEC 62304) is an advantage
