Electronics Design Engineer I

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-speed digital hardware for aerospace and aeronautical imaging products
• Develop schematics, perform circuit card layout, and conduct circuit analysis using standard design tools
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, test, firmware, systems, and manufacturing engineers
• Perform design verification in a laboratory setting to ensure hardware meets project requirements
• Support the manufacturing and assembly of complex circuit cards in compliance with IPC standards

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• Coursework or laboratory experience in Digital Design and Electronics (signals evaluation, solid state electronics, signal processing, filter design, or power electronics)
• U.S. citizenship is required
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• GPA of 3.2 or higher in Electrical Engineering coursework
• Experience using digital and power measurement instruments such as Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers, and Function Generators
• Proficiency with circuit simulation tools like Spice and Matlab
• Experience with ECAD layout tools such as Altium, OrCad, or Mentor Expedition
• Experience with signal integrity simulation tools like Hyperlynx
• Experience with configurable/programmable logic design using AMD (Xilinx) FPGA design tools
