Electronic Technician

Responsibilities

• Assemble, test, troubleshoot, and repair electronic components, assemblies, and equipment
• Determine repair requirements to restore materials to like-new condition
• Perform disassembly, repair, and re-assembly of various components
• Execute software programming of ICs, PLCs, electro-mechanical assemblies, and circuit boards
• Follow documented test procedures and schematics to replace defective components
• Complete detailed repair and test reports for all products
• Support the transition of new products into production in coordination with engineering teams
• Comply with all EH&S policies and procedures

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Electronics (A.S.E.E.) or equivalent technical training
• Minimum of 2 years of experience troubleshooting microprocessor-controlled circuits to the component level
• IPC Certification is required
• Demonstrated expertise in SMT rework and repair to IPC standards
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools including oscilloscopes and multimeters
• Strong knowledge of AC/DC theory, motor controls, and semiconductor circuit theory
• Ability to interpret PCB schematics, assembly drawings, and work instructions
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual dexterity tasks

• Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering Technology
