Electronic Technician (IOR)

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and repair precision, large-scale radar instrumentation systems
• Analyze radar tracking equipment and system problems to reach resolution
• Troubleshoot to component level, including testing, repairing, calibrating, and adjusting instrumentation
• Maintain objective quality evidence, configuration documentation, and required records
• Perform launch and mission support using standard operating procedures
• Assist in modification, sustainment, depot-level actions, and system calibrations
• Perform tracking operations and maintain associated data per customer requirements
• Identify process improvement areas and recommend efficiencies

Requirements

• AS Degree in Electronic Technology, two-year technical school, or equivalent military experience
• 0–2 years of electronic technician experience related to large-scale Radars or RF tracking systems
• Experience with standard electronics test equipment such as oscilloscopes and frequency counters
• Ability to read and understand schematics, elevations, and assembly drawings
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License and a valid U.S. passport
• Ability to lift and maneuver 40-pound components and work in confined spaces
• Ability to climb and perform work on service platforms up to 90 feet

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting digital and analog circuits to the component level
• Experience with RF/IF receivers, microwave, servo control systems, and high-powered transmitters
• Previous experience with radar operation and maintenance
• Proficiency with IMDS/SMARTT or other maintenance control systems
