Electronic Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform periodic inspections, maintenance, and jet engine run tests on target systems and associated equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair systems by interpreting electronic and mechanical schematics using complex test equipment
• Configure, install, calibrate, and perform acceptance tests on target drones and ground support equipment
• Support all phases of target operation, including assembly, operational checks, launch, and decontamination
• Document all maintenance actions electronically through the Navy’s record-keeping system
• Assist in developing new local procedures, procedural changes, and modification proposals
• Handle, install, and check out aerial target related ordnance

Requirements

• Associate Degree in a related field or equivalent technical training (e.g., 2-year technical school)
• Two years of related experience in a technical field
• Thorough knowledge of electronics theory and proficiency in component-level troubleshooting
• Ability to read and interpret complicated schematic diagrams
• Ability to obtain and maintain Ordnance Certification
• Proficiency in MS Word and Outlook
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance (US Citizenship required)
• Physical ability to lift, push, and pull 25-50 lbs and work in various positions including crawling, kneeling, or climbing
