Electronic Security Systems Technician

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and install electronic security systems including CCTV IP cameras, access control, and intrusion detection panels
• Perform cabling and infrastructure installation, including EMT conduit, cable trays, and fiber optics
• Diagnose and correct equipment malfunctions and failures using digital multi-meters, signal generators, and oscilloscopes
• Conduct function tests and analysis on various installed systems
• Provide guidance to a small team of EMT IIs under project management supervision
• Perform cable dressing and labeling in accordance with Installation Design Plans (IDP)

Requirements

• Associates degree and 5 years of experience, or High School diploma/GED with 9 years of equivalent experience
• Four years of practical experience with electronic security systems maintenance and installation
• Strong knowledge of electrical and electronic principles as they pertain to security equipment
• Ability to work independently with limited instruction and meet critical demands in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to pass an extensive background investigation

Preferred Qualifications

• Active Secret Clearance
• OEM factory training from Identiv, Bosch, or Cisco Switches
