About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform assembly, disassembly, repair, rework, and inspection of electronic, electrical, and electromechanical components
  • Work from blueprints, schematics, parts lists, and wire lists to ensure quality standards are met
  • Utilize measuring equipment such as dial indicators, micrometers, and ohmmeters to perform required checks
  • Prepare and maintain necessary documentation including checklists, log sheets, and unit history records
  • Execute bonding and potting procedures and perform oven cure operations
  • Set up and perform minor maintenance on equipment such as soldering irons, desoldering machines, and crimpers
  • Manage material control duties including receiving, storing, packaging, and shipping equipment
  • Support 2nd shift operations (Monday - Friday, 3:30 PM - 12:30 AM EDT)

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of soldering experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of basic electronic and electromechanical assembly
  • Experience with bonding and potting procedures
  • Certification in soldering/rework operations
  • U.S. citizenship is required for this position

Preferred Qualifications

  • IPC J-Standard-001 Solder circuit board certification
  • Ability to use variable measuring equipment such as vernier calipers and digital test instruments
  • Proficiency in working with decimals, fractions, and specified formulas
  • Knowledge of Electronic Theory
  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Technology
