About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform assembly, disassembly, repair, rework, and inspection of electronic, electrical, and electromechanical components
- Work from blueprints, schematics, parts lists, and wire lists to ensure quality standards are met
- Utilize measuring equipment such as dial indicators, micrometers, and ohmmeters to perform required checks
- Prepare and maintain necessary documentation including checklists, log sheets, and unit history records
- Execute bonding and potting procedures and perform oven cure operations
- Set up and perform minor maintenance on equipment such as soldering irons, desoldering machines, and crimpers
- Manage material control duties including receiving, storing, packaging, and shipping equipment
- Support 2nd shift operations (Monday - Friday, 3:30 PM - 12:30 AM EDT)
Requirements
- 1-2 years of soldering experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of basic electronic and electromechanical assembly
- Experience with bonding and potting procedures
- Certification in soldering/rework operations
- U.S. citizenship is required for this position
Preferred Qualifications
- IPC J-Standard-001 Solder circuit board certification
- Ability to use variable measuring equipment such as vernier calipers and digital test instruments
- Proficiency in working with decimals, fractions, and specified formulas
- Knowledge of Electronic Theory
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Technology
