About the role
Responsibilities
- Promote and sell Fire Safety Systems to customers and end users within an assigned territory
- Establish contact with prospects and qualify potential buyers through sales calls and lead follow-up
- Develop and execute sales strategies to increase customer understanding of product offerings
- Conduct seminars and product demonstrations to generate and qualify new leads
- Prepare financial justifications, proposals, and presentations to close sales
- Maintain established accounts through regular contact to pursue follow-on sales
- Deliver sales against assigned quotas and report progress metrics to corporate teams
- Participate in trade shows and special events to grow sales and improve company image
Requirements
- Highly motivated and success-driven with a high degree of self-discipline
- Proven ability to identify, qualify, persuade, and close sales opportunities
- Experience working with electrical contractors
- Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Oracle programs
- Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to acquire required licenses per national, state, and local codes
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or engineering
- Minimum of five years of successful sales experience in the electronic or similar industry
