About the role

Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell Fire Safety Systems to customers and end users within an assigned territory
  • Establish contact with prospects and qualify potential buyers through sales calls and lead follow-up
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to increase customer understanding of product offerings
  • Conduct seminars and product demonstrations to generate and qualify new leads
  • Prepare financial justifications, proposals, and presentations to close sales
  • Maintain established accounts through regular contact to pursue follow-on sales
  • Deliver sales against assigned quotas and report progress metrics to corporate teams
  • Participate in trade shows and special events to grow sales and improve company image

Requirements

  • Highly motivated and success-driven with a high degree of self-discipline
  • Proven ability to identify, qualify, persuade, and close sales opportunities
  • Experience working with electrical contractors
  • Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Oracle programs
  • Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to acquire required licenses per national, state, and local codes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or engineering
  • Minimum of five years of successful sales experience in the electronic or similar industry
