Electronic Field Engineer

Responsibilities

• Install, modify, and maintain SCADA systems for Member Systems and cooperatives
• Engineer and manage projects involving RTUs, fiber optics, IEDs, and SCADA workstations
• Perform System, Database, and Network Administration duties
• Create and manage software programs to address system programming needs
• Install, configure, and support LAN, WAN, and Internet systems
• Train Member Systems personnel on equipment operation and troubleshooting
• Monitor network availability and perform necessary maintenance
• Operate company service vans and forklifts as required
• Remain available for system outages and travel as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Computer Technology
• 1-3 years of experience in electronic technology or military technical training
• Operational understanding of computer technology and networking
• Ability to drive a company service van

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with meter repair and electric utility industry
• Experience with RTUs, IEDs, radio communications, or EMS/SCADA maintenance
