Electronic Design Engineer I

Responsibilities

• Perform circuit card design including parts selection, schematic entry, and layout
• Conduct circuit and RF signal chain analysis
• Run 3D electromagnetic wave field solver simulations
• Write VHDL for FPGA designs
• Develop microcontroller designs for multi-board control applications
• Design communication interfaces between equipment and the user
• Prototype, test, and debug hardware in an electronics lab environment

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics)
• Relevant engineering internship experience
• Strong fundamentals in circuit analysis and design
• U.S. Person status (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or protected status)
• Effective communication skills for working in cross-disciplinary teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to embedded systems, Linux development, or communication protocols
• Proficiency with PCB design tools such as Altium or Xpedition
• Experience with RF modeling and simulation tools like AWR or HFSS
• Familiarity with electronic lab equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, VNAs)
• Knowledge of high-speed digital and/or analog design
