Electronic Component Engineer

Responsibilities

• Select, evaluate, and approve active and passive electronic components to meet design and reliability requirements
• Define and support component qualification, testing, and validation activities
• Manage component lifecycle risks, including obsolescence, second sourcing, and supply continuity
• Provide technical guidance and component alternatives to design teams
• Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to resolve technical issues and improve performance
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards
• Maintain component data and documentation using Siemens EDM or equivalent systems

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical/electronic engineering or equivalent industry experience
• Strong knowledge of active and passive electronic components
• Experience in component selection, qualification, and lifecycle management
• Familiarity with Siemens EDM or similar component management tools
• Understanding of REACH and RoHS compliance regulations
• Ability to work effectively within global cross-functional teams
• Strong communication and logical problem-solving skills
