About the role
Responsibilities
- Build and assemble electronic components, subassemblies, and systems using specialized machinery and tools
- Utilize various soldering, welding, and bonding techniques to secure parts according to product criteria
- Follow manufacturing operating procedures (MOP), bill of materials (BOM), and work instructions
- Position and align parts using jigs, fixtures, or other holding devices
- Perform intermediate assembly tasks including potting, encapsulating, sanding, and epoxy bonding
- Conduct on-line testing and inspection using microscopes, calipers, and electronic test equipment to ensure quality standards
- Record job-specific data on forms, logs, and time sheets
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 6 months of related experience or specialized training
- Proven soldering skills
- J-STD or IPC certification
- Strong mathematical skills with the ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and production drawings
