Electron Microscopy Analyst I-III

Responsibilities

• Operate Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) equipment to obtain SE and BSE micrographs
• Perform sample preparation techniques including cleaving, ion milling, and thin-film deposition
• Differentiate samples and target locations visually to interpret 3D structures from documentation
• Maintain high-volume output and quality metrics within a semiconductor laboratory environment
• Follow established workflows, including data updates, sample prioritization, and lab cleanliness
• (Level III) Assist with small projects, update SOPs, and provide training to fellow team members

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
• Experience with SEM operation and sample preparation techniques
• Strong manual dexterity and fine motor control for handling fragile samples
• Ability to visually examine and differentiate patterns on small samples (~5mm)
• Excellent technical communication skills for interacting with peers and management

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, or Materials Science
• Previous experience in a high-volume semiconductor lab (QA, FA, or Fab)
• Advanced understanding of target structures and etch process variability
