Electromechanical Technologist

Responsibilities

• Integrate electrical systems for system testing and evaluation
• Support integrated testing and fielding operations for flight systems
• Manage and maintain a light electrical laboratory
• Interface with external vendors for system fabrication
• Assist with procurement and logistics for systems development and deployment
• Contribute to the design and realization of next-generation electronic, avionic, and computer systems

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Ability to acquire and maintain a DOE security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant associate's or bachelor's degree
• Hands-on experience in the development of electrical and mechanical systems (e.g., soldering, cable fabrication, electrical chassis builds)
• Experience with Sandia procurement processes (P-Card, JIT, PR/PO)
• Proficiency with tools such as Excel and MATLAB for calculations and data analysis
• Active US government security clearance
