Electromechanical Technologist

Responsibilities

• Perform technical activities related to equipment lifecycle management and associated infrastructure
• Support instrumentation, process mechanics, computer and PLC applications, and system testing/troubleshooting
• Collect and analyze technical data
• Manage a high volume of variable requests from equipment owners, lab owners, and building residents

Requirements

• High school diploma plus three (3) or more years of directly related experience
• Experience with trades, project planning, or project leadership
• Experience in a customer service role working with a wide variety of customers
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Five (5) or more years of directly related experience
• Journeyman electrical background or electrical apprenticeship
• Experience with Power Source Technologies, Neutron Generators, or Energetics equipment
• Experience programming PLCs using ladder logic (e.g., Allen-Bradley)
• Experience in equipment installation, utility requirements, facilities management, or construction management
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
