Fuse is a team of builders, breakers, and fixers delivering pulsed-power systems to accelerate the world’s transition to fusion. Customers span defense, energy, and aerospace, supporting nuclear effects testing and future fusion plants.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble racks, HV/LV harnesses, enclosures, panels, and motion/actuation subsystems
  • Install pumps, valves, seals, and gauges; leak-check and maintain oil and vacuum systems
  • Mount sensors, route signal cabling, and bring up data acquisition systems (DAS)
  • Read schematics and harness drawings to crimp, terminate, label, and document work
  • Run electrical checkouts, resolve system noise, and troubleshoot high voltage (HV) systems
  • Perform preventive/corrective maintenance, calibration, and tool readiness
  • Execute HV/LOTO, ESD, rigging, and lift plans while maintaining safety records
  • Capture build notes and provide feedback to engineering for system improvements

Requirements

  • 3–7+ years experience building and integrating complex electromechanical systems, preferably in pulsed power
  • Mastery of hand tools, metrology, and electrical wiring safety
  • Experience with high voltage/high current systems and precision timing
  • Ability to read mechanical design drawings and electrical/wiring diagrams
  • Proficiency with oscilloscopes, HV probes, leak detectors, and electrical testers
  • Working knowledge of ESD mitigation
  • Strong technical documentation and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Pulsed-power familiarity and soldering skills
  • Experience with cleanliness and contamination control
  • Familiarity with machining, rapid fabrication, or basic CAD/ECAD
  • Forklift, overhead crane, rigging, and safe lifting certifications
