Electromechanical Technician - Specialist

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, rebuild, and repair complex automated machines including mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems
• Perform and document preventative and predictive maintenance on plant equipment using CMMS
• Maintain equipment such as conveyor systems, servo drives, motors, sensors, and PLCs
• Utilize proper lockout/tagout, confined space, and hot work permit procedures to ensure a safe work environment
• Perform milling, welding (MIG/TIG), and fabrication tasks using various power tools
• Assist with the installation, modification, and updating of production equipment
• Participate in Continuous Improvement events, including Kaizens, and follow GMPs and ISO compliance

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED with a technical certification in a related field
• 1-5 years of manufacturing or industrial maintenance experience
• 1+ year of experience with mechanical, electrical, and PLC systems
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematics
• Welding knowledge (MIG/TIG) or willingness to become proficient
• Ability to lift 55 pounds frequently and stand for long periods
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word, and Excel

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate Degree in maintenance, mechatronics, or an engineering-related discipline
• Experience with CMMS for preventative maintenance and inventory management (Maximo preferred)
• Experience with robots, CNC Mills, Powder Coating, or Allen Bradley PLC systems
• Knowledge of Root Cause analysis methodology
