About the role
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, rebuild, and repair complex automated machines including mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Perform and document preventative and predictive maintenance on plant equipment using CMMS
- Maintain equipment such as conveyor systems, servo drives, motors, sensors, and PLCs
- Utilize proper lockout/tagout, confined space, and hot work permit procedures to ensure a safe work environment
- Perform milling, welding (MIG/TIG), and fabrication tasks using various power tools
- Assist with the installation, modification, and updating of production equipment
- Participate in Continuous Improvement events, including Kaizens, and follow GMPs and ISO compliance
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED with a technical certification in a related field
- 1-5 years of manufacturing or industrial maintenance experience
- 1+ year of experience with mechanical, electrical, and PLC systems
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematics
- Welding knowledge (MIG/TIG) or willingness to become proficient
- Ability to lift 55 pounds frequently and stand for long periods
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word, and Excel
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate Degree in maintenance, mechatronics, or an engineering-related discipline
- Experience with CMMS for preventative maintenance and inventory management (Maximo preferred)
- Experience with robots, CNC Mills, Powder Coating, or Allen Bradley PLC systems
- Knowledge of Root Cause analysis methodology
