About the role
Responsibilities
- Execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for foundry machinery and plant equipment to maximize availability and reliability.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns in a foundry environment to minimize unplanned stoppages.
- Comply with daily maintenance work order schedules and develop work instructions aligned with EH&S policies.
- Participate in root cause analysis, continuous improvement initiatives, and cost-reduction strategies.
- Maintain accurate equipment records and maintenance history to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Actively demonstrate safety as a top priority, ensuring full implementation of Safety & Sustainability systems.
Requirements
- Mechanical or Electrical technical degree or equivalent qualification.
- At least 2 years of experience in the commissioning and installation of heavy-duty equipment.
- Proven experience executing maintenance programs in foundries, steel mills, or similar industrial environments.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), and electrical power/control schemes.
- Strong knowledge of electrical safety and electrical grounding.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to support or lead others in technical applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience specifically within the manufacturing or foundry industry.
- Intermediate or conversational English language skills.
