Electromechanical Technician Apprentice

Responsibilities

• Participate in a comprehensive training program combining hands-on electromechanical experience with formal education
• Perform physically demanding manufacturing duties, including repetitive processes and the use of machinery
• Apply knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, and machining procedures
• Use computer systems to access company data, drawings, bills of materials, and specification sheets
• Operate various tools and equipment while maintaining a clean and safe work area
• Actively participate in continuous improvement activities regarding safety, quality, and productivity

Requirements

• Willingness to commit to a six-year program (4 years of training and 2 years of workforce placement)
• Ability to stand on concrete for an entire shift with repetitive bending, stooping, and twisting
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds (with assistance or hoist when necessary)
• Capability for repetitive hand manipulation and grasping power/hand tools
• Strong math and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (current seniors graduating in the spring are encouraged to apply)
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, specifically automotive or trucking
