Electromechanical Designer-Sensor

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-domain project teams through all phases of electromechanical sensor development, from initial concept to series production
• Ensure planning and execution of all engineering tasks following the ZF-CVCS product development process, including design, validation, FMEA, and Design to Cost
• Define validation plans, including EMC testing, and review/approve test results
• Perform problem-solving for design reviews, test failures, and field claims
• Collaborate with integrated suppliers on detailed structure, electrical circuit, and layout design
• Develop sensor localization roadmaps for active/inductive position, speed, and pressure sensors

Requirements

• Degree in electromechanics, electrical, or control engineering, with a focus on automotive engineering or mechatronics
• Solid experience in sensor technology (e.g., Active Position, Speed, Pressure, or Angular sensors)
• Knowledge of IC chip specifications and sensor suppliers
• Experience in EMC design, testing, and troubleshooting
• Familiarity with sensor validation, production processes, and EOL testing
• Proficiency in English (written and verbal)

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of analog and digital circuit design
• Experience with MCU interfaces and signal processing
