About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead complex analyses related to EMI, HIRF/LIRF, lightning, and ESD using simulation and analytical calculation
- Define project scope, estimate costs and timelines, and identify technical risks
- Evaluate new systems to establish practical certification strategies
- Prepare and review aircraft-level test plans and procedures
- Supervise certification tests and draft final reports
- Produce technical documentation required for regulatory approvals
- Investigate and resolve complex electromagnetic anomalies in production or in-service fleets
- Represent the EMC discipline in multidisciplinary design reviews and mentor junior engineers
Requirements
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline
- Minimum 8 years of experience in the aerospace industry specifically in EMC qualification or certification
- Deep knowledge of RTCA/DO-160, SAE aerospace practices, and TCCA, FAA, or EASA directives
- Proven expertise in EMI, HIRF, LIRF, lightning, or electrostatic issues
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Fluency in English
Preferred Qualifications
- Active participation in a full aircraft development or certification program
- Hands-on experience with electromagnetic simulation tools (e.g., CST, EMA3D)
- Experience in fuel tank ignition risk prevention (SFAR 88 / FT141 compliance)
