Electro-Optical Technician B

Responsibilities

• Assemble, test, and operate complex precision electro-optical assemblies and lasers
• Analyze and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and test instructions
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and optical components including motors, sensors, and wire harnesses
• Execute environmental screening using thermal chambers and optical collimators
• Load, configure, and verify software and firmware on integrated hardware systems
• Maintain meticulous documentation of assembly, maintenance, and test results
• Collaborate with engineers and production teams to resolve assembly-level defects and drive process improvements

Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
• Experience assembling, configuring, and testing complex electromechanical and electro-optical systems
• Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and optical issues
• Experience operating large-scale test equipment
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 - 5 years of experience in the Electro-Optical or Electro-Mechanical field
• College Diploma in Electronics, Robotics, or Optronics/Photonics
• Experience working within ISO9000 or AS9100 environments
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
