About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead systems engineering integration to incorporate advanced capabilities into existing systems for ACAT I programs.
  • Partner with program office personnel to develop and refine Requirements Verification Matrices for new releases.
  • Provide technical analysis and actionable recommendations during key systems engineering milestone reviews.
  • Review engineering designs, lab data, and flight test results to validate Raptor Release requirements.
  • Assess and recommend solutions for identified design defects to meet operational standards.
  • Support the transition of emerging technologies from research labs to integration and acquisition phases.
  • Contribute engineering expertise to the development of Program Statements of Work and Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs).
  • Evaluate OEM responses to Requests for Information (RFI) against Key Performance Parameters.
  • Support Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) to integrate innovative technologies into aircraft platform models.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Applied Science.
  • Minimum of 20 years of experience in systems engineering or a closely related field.
  • Active Top Secret security clearance.
  • Advanced knowledge and recognized expertise in Electro-Optical/Infrared (EO/IR) systems.
  • Comprehensive understanding of EO/IR systems standards, procedures, and practices.
  • Ability to oversee the efforts of junior and journeyman personnel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10 years of Department of Defense (DoD) experience.
  • Master’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Familiarity with the F-22 platform and avionics systems.
  • Program Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • INCOSE Expert Systems Engineering Professional (ESEP) credential.
  • Extensive experience in DoD weapon systems engineering and acquisition processes.
