Electro-Mechanical Technician Senior

Responsibilities

• Perform electro-mechanical assembly of PCB assemblies into product chassis
• Assemble electro-mechanical units by interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications
• Use precision calibrated tools including torque wrenches, micrometers, and calipers
• Conduct visual inspections of assemblies against engineering specifications and test procedures
• Document non-conformances and associated rework or repair activities
• Perform soldering and reworking of through-hole and SMT components
• Support conformal coating, masking, and epoxy application processes

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 3+ years of experience in electronics, electro-mechanical, and PCB assemblies
• 3+ years of experience with ESD, IPC J-STD-001, and IPC-A-610 standards
• 3+ years of experience in soldering and reading blueprints/manufacturing plans
• Ability to lift 20lbs or more frequently and stand/move for extended periods
• U.S. Citizenship required to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building component-level space products (avionics, batteries, optics, etc.)
• 3+ years of experience in a Clean Room environment
• Current IPC J-STD-001 and/or IPC-A-610 certifications
• Experience using hand tools, test equipment, and sheet metal tools
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computing systems
