Electro-mechanical Inspector

Responsibilities

• Perform periodic inspections of road lighting, traffic signals, underpass/bridge lighting, and tunnel electromechanical systems
• Oversee the construction, maintenance, and demolition of transportation facilities and electrical equipment
• Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and specifications for electrical and mechanical installations
• Maintain detailed project documentation, including daily diaries, quantity calculations, and project photographs
• Verify that only approved materials are used and collect necessary compliance certificates and MSDS documentation
• Identify potential conflicts or technical issues and propose solutions to supervisors
• Coordinate with subconsultants for surveying and material testing
• Participate in the development of job safety practices and quality control procedures

Requirements

• Degree, Associate's Degree, or Diploma in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 3 years of experience in asset management and maintenance (road lighting, traffic signals, pumping stations, or similar)
• Proven ability to read and enforce working drawings and technical specifications
• Proficiency in computer technology and engineering/construction software for data management and reporting
• Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with project teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working on UAE road maintenance projects
• Demonstrated experience in identifying non-conforming works and coordinating corrective actions
