About the Company

Pacific Fusion was founded in 2023 with the mission to power the world with abundant, affordable, clean energy. We are rapidly designing and building a pulser-driven inertial fusion system to achieve net facility gain.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the assembly, installation, and maintenance of fusion systems
  • Receive deliveries and control inventory of equipment and supplies
  • Perform rapid prototyping for fusion technology applications
  • Support engineering teams during design, development, and testing phases
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and optimize equipment to minimize downtime
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including electrical, mechanical, and software engineers
  • Assist in setting up the manufacturing site by installing equipment and facilities
  • Draft and finalize SOPs, safety procedures, and related documentation
  • Maintain the manufacturing environment via 5S principles

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a technician in a hands-on setting
  • Strong problem-solving skills for complex electromechanical systems
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and protocols
  • Extensive experience driving a forklift and using hand power tools
  • Strong communication skills for in-person and remote collaboration
  • Physical ability to squat, reach, climb, stand for long periods, and lift up to 50 lbs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with CAD software and technical drawings
  • Experience with automation equipment and processes
  • Experience setting up new manufacturing facilities in a startup environment
  • Proficiency with machine shop tools (lathe, mill, CNC, drill press)
  • Experience interviewing, hiring, and training technicians
  • Associate’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience in machining, welding, construction, or auto mechanics
