Electro Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair, and installation of plant equipment, including mechanical and electrical systems, to ensure continuous production.
• Inspect plant equipment for defects such as misalignment, wear, or insufficient lubrication and determine the best repair methods.
• Troubleshoot electrical equipment by tracing and testing circuits, inspecting faulty operations, and replacing components like motors, generators, and control panels.
• Interpret drawings, sketches, and wiring diagrams to locate and install circuits and determine material needs.
• Execute mechanical tasks including welding, brazing, pipe fitting, and sheet metal fabrication.
• Operate mechanical lifting devices, simple machine tools, and various hand tools.
• Maintain mechanical equipment such as air compressors, emergency generators, pumps, and HVAC units.
• Ensure all work is performed following strict safety precautions and proper isolation of circuits.

Requirements

• Thorough working knowledge of electrical principles, wiring specifications, and codes.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical equipment and locating sources of trouble in circuits.
• Proficiency in mechanical equipment maintenance and repair.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, sketches, and wiring diagrams.
• Knowledge of programmable controllers and PLC logic relays.
• Skills in welding, brazing, pipe fitting, and sheet metal fabrication.
• Ability to perform calculations for estimating material requirements.
