About the role
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems supporting chemical manufacturing operations.
- Diagnose and repair motors, drives, PLC-controlled equipment, sensors, conveyors, pumps, mixers, and automated production systems.
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance to maximize equipment reliability, uptime, and production efficiency.
- Install, calibrate, and maintain instrumentation, control devices, and electrical components used in chemical processing operations.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and mechanical drawings to identify and resolve equipment issues.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and hazardous energy control.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- 5+ years of electro-mechanical maintenance experience in a chemical, manufacturing, processing, or industrial environment.
- Experience troubleshooting PLCs, VFDs, motors, instrumentation, and automated production equipment.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems (120V–480V), mechanical systems, and industrial safety practices.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and respond effectively to production equipment breakdowns.
- Availability to work 2nd Shift (Monday - Friday) from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM CST.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree or technical certification in Electromechanical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, or a related field.
