About the role

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems supporting chemical manufacturing operations.
  • Diagnose and repair motors, drives, PLC-controlled equipment, sensors, conveyors, pumps, mixers, and automated production systems.
  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance to maximize equipment reliability, uptime, and production efficiency.
  • Install, calibrate, and maintain instrumentation, control devices, and electrical components.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and mechanical drawings.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental requirements, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and hazardous energy control.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams on continuous improvement and root cause corrective actions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of electro-mechanical maintenance experience in a chemical, manufacturing, or industrial environment.
  • Experience troubleshooting PLCs, VFDs, motors, instrumentation, and automated production equipment.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems (120V–480V), mechanical systems, and industrial safety practices.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and respond to equipment breakdowns.
  • Availability to work 2nd Shift (Monday - Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM CST).
  • Associate degree or technical certification in Electromechanical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field preferred.
