Electrician

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical installation and refurbishment works on water company sites
• Travel to client sites across the region, including potential overnight stays
• Inspect, survey, identify faults, and test electrical systems
• Utilize design drawings, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer manuals
• Complete required paperwork and reports for installation and testing
• Assist mechanical trades and the project team with equipment specification
• Comply with BS7671, OH&S, environmental, and quality policies
• Work in company workshops to build and repair electrical systems

Requirements

• NVQ level 3 or equivalent in electrical installation (essential)
• 17th or 18th Edition qualification (essential)
• 2+ years post-qualification experience in electrical installation and testing
• Valid UK driving licence (essential)
• Jib Gold card or ECS Gold card
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
• Strong health and safety knowledge

Preferred Qualifications

• City & Guilds 2391 Test and Inspection
• Control and automation experience
• EUSR clean water card
• Confined spaces training
• Emergency first aid certification
