Electrician

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair, and installation of electrical and mechanical equipment, including production machinery, transport systems, and electrical installations.
• Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance on handling equipment, pneumatic systems, and grinding/mixing lines based on established schedules.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and defects in equipment, measuring systems, and control systems to determine necessary repairs.
• Execute modifications and overhaul work based on work orders and supervisor instructions.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and code specifications to determine equipment layouts.
• Install and repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components.
• Maintain and test switchgear, transformers, motors, generators, and industrial control systems.
• Log all maintenance activities and technical data into the maintenance management system.

Requirements

• Completed Journeyman Electrician Certification.
• Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience as an electrician in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Ability to work rotating weekly shifts (e.g., 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM and 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM).
• Ability to operate under pressure with changing priorities and deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with PLC systems, VFDs, industrial automation, and control systems.
