Electrician

Responsibilities

• Install, test, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, control devices and equipment
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, electrical code specifications and schematics
• Diagnose and repair malfunctioning systems and components using test equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance through inspection of electrical systems and components
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records
• Direct and train other workers and apprentices
• Perform mechanical related functions on plant equipment and machinery as required
• Ensure all work adheres to organizational, provincial and federal safety regulations

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
• Industrial Electrician 442 or 309 Certification
• Minimum 3 years of Industrial Electrician experience
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications
• Knowledge of safe operating procedures
• Computer literacy

Preferred Qualifications

• Red-Seal certification
• Background in a manufacturing environment
• Allen Bradley PLC experience
