Electrician

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on Low and Medium Voltage Electrical Distribution Equipment, Motors, Variable Frequency Drives, Branch Circuits, Electric Heat Tracing, and Outdoor Lighting
• Confirm equipment is electrically safe and secure, providing documentation that lockout is complete
• Adhere strictly to NFPA 70E and Marathon Electrical Safe Work Practices and Procedures
• Work in a heavy industrial refinery setting, including outdoor work in various weather conditions

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license
• Current Michigan Journeymen License
• Knowledge of NFPA 70E requirements for personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Knowledge of National Electrical Code requirements for industrial and hazardous locations
• Ability to pass a Marathon Electrical written and hands-on skill demonstration test

Preferred Qualifications

• Three to five years of relevant work experience
• Previous experience in Oil, Gas, Chemical, or Power Generation industrial facilities
