Electrician - Low Voltage

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and repair electrical equipment in residential, commercial, and industrial environments
• Replace defective circuit breakers, switches, fuses, and other electrical wiring devices
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment including generators, transformers, switchboards, motors, and conduit systems
• Follow blueprints, drawings, and engineering specifications to complete electrical projects
• Use various hand tools, testing instruments, and measurement equipment
• Install conduit using threading, cutting, and bending tools
• Maintain a safe work environment and comply with all quality and safety procedures

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Technical school certification or completion of an approved apprenticeship program
• Minimum of 2 years verifiable experience as a journey-level Electrician in commercial or industrial maintenance (600 VAC and below)
• Proven ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and wiring schematics
• Knowledge of electrical testing instruments and troubleshooting AC/DC control systems
• Ability to work at heights up to 300 feet using mechanical lifting devices
• CPR certification and a valid state driver's license
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance (US Citizenship required)
• Ability to wear ASTM F2413-05 compliant hard-toed safety shoes

Preferred Qualifications

• AMMO-29 Certification (Electrical Explosive Safety for Naval Facilities)
