Electrician - Journeyman

Responsibilities

• Install electrical components in temporary and permanent buildings, additions, and partitions
• Work with lumex wire, BX, Tech Cable, and Cab tire
• Install fire alarm systems
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Troubleshoot and isolate electrical faults
• Conduct preventive maintenance programs
• Install, replace, and repair electrical controls, panel boxes, HVAC units, and furnaces
• Test and measure voltage, loads, and ground faults integrity of circuits
• Renovate electrical systems in residential and commercial structures

Requirements

• Completion of journeyperson electrical training
• 5 years of experience as an electrician in residential and commercial settings
• Practical knowledge of electrical techniques and methods
• Ability to perform heavy manual labor including lifting up to 45 lbs
• Manual dexterity for climbing ladders, working in confined spaces, and repetitive motions
• Ability to walk 2-4 kilometers per day on various surfaces
