About the role
Responsibilities
- Install electrical components in temporary and permanent buildings, additions, and partitions
- Work with lumex wire, BX, Tech Cable, and Cab tire
- Install fire alarm systems
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Troubleshoot and isolate electrical faults
- Conduct preventive maintenance programs
- Install, replace, and repair electrical controls, panel boxes, HVAC units, and furnaces
- Test and measure voltage, loads, and ground faults integrity of circuits
- Renovate electrical systems in residential and commercial structures
Requirements
- Completion of journeyperson electrical training
- 5 years of experience as an electrician in residential and commercial settings
- Practical knowledge of electrical techniques and methods
- Ability to perform heavy manual labor including lifting up to 45 lbs
- Manual dexterity for climbing ladders, working in confined spaces, and repetitive motions
- Ability to walk 2-4 kilometers per day on various surfaces
