Electrician

Responsibilities

• Install and repair electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in buildings and exhibits
• Install conduits and pipes to house electrical wires and cables
• Install circuit breakers and other electrical hardware following electrical code
• Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems to prevent downtime
• Design and troubleshoot low voltage LED systems and illumination controls
• Perform soldering and manage wire management
• Create records of materials used

Requirements

• Completion of a formal apprenticeship and valid electrician's license (or ability to become licensed with assistance)
• 2+ years of professional experience with electrical networks
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and test meters
• Ability to read blueprints
• Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and wiring
• Proficiency in soldering

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of industrial and facility maintenance
• Formal training and current electrical license
