Electrician

Responsibilities

• Operate, repair, inspect, service, troubleshoot, and maintain building electrical systems
• Perform testing and repair of electrical systems
• Conduct electrical preventive maintenance
• Install and repair electrical equipment including generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, and heating units
• Work from blueprints, drawings, and layouts to diagnose electrical issues
• Perform standard computations relating to load requirements
• Use electrician's hand tools and measuring/testing instruments

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• At least 5 years of Electrician experience within a government facility
• Valid electrician license
• Experience in commercial electrical systems
• Ability to lift/move 50 pounds and climb vertical ladders
• Ability to work at heights up to 50 feet
• Proficiency in operating forklifts and other lifts
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire alarm systems
• Ability to pass a government background check
