Electrician

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, conduits, outlets, switches, and fixtures in new construction and renovation projects
• Interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to determine layout and installation requirements
• Ensure all electrical work complies with local, state, and national codes (e.g., NEC) and safety regulations
• Perform inspections and testing of electrical systems using multimeters, continuity testers, and other diagnostic tools
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and resolve issues promptly to minimize project delays
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to coordinate electrical work with overall construction schedules
• Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and inspections
• Safely handle tools, equipment, and materials in accordance with OSHA standards

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; trade certification or associate degree in Electrical Technology preferred
• 1–2 years of hands-on experience in residential or commercial construction electrical work
• Valid journeyman electrician license or eligibility to obtain one within the first year of employment
• In-depth knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Physical stamina to stand, climb, bend, and work at heights for extended periods
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in fast-paced, on-site environments
• Familiarity with tools such as conduit benders, wire strippers, multimeters, and cable pullers
