About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage all mechanical and electrical construction activities for Mission Critical facilities and related projects
  • Oversee Mechanical and Electrical Trade contractors and vendors throughout the project lifecycle
  • Coordinate schedules, budgets, reports, and documentation for mechanical and electrical systems from pre-construction through close-out
  • Develop project scopes and schedules, coordinate change orders and RFIs, and manage project budgets and cost control
  • Monitor installation and start-up of MEP systems and commissioning of the project with the Engineer and Owner
  • Lead the HCC MEP Team and Trade Partners from groundbreaking through commissioning and turnover to the Owner
  • Maintain strong professional relationships with owners’ representatives, architects, engineers, clients, subcontractors, and vendors

Requirements

  • 5–10 years of commercial construction experience with large, sophisticated mechanical and electrical systems
  • Extensive experience managing construction of data centers and complex electrical and mechanical infrastructure projects
  • Experience developing project scopes and schedules, coordinating change orders and RFIs, and managing project budgets and cost control
  • Strong ability to manage relationships with owners’ representatives, architects, engineers, and clients, while supervising subcontractors and vendors
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering
  • Experience leading teams through all phases of construction projects
