Electrical/Mechanical Assembly Technician

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical systems and equipment according to engineering drawings and production schedules
• Produce welded, mechanical, and electrical parts and assemblies to meet customer satisfaction
• Operate Forklift Trucks to load, unload, and transport goods in the warehouse
• Maintain upkeep of records with full traceability
• Manage area and equipment upkeep to reduce downtime and improve health and safety
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve performance in safety, quality, delivery, and cost

Requirements

• Level 4 HNC or equivalent associate degree (or working towards it)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in fitting or production of heavy plant
• Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings
• Proficiency with fitting tools, power hand tools, and powered table/pillar machines
• Welding training (MIG/TIG)

Preferred Qualifications

• Current weld qualification
• FLT (Forklift Truck) license
