About the role
Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical systems and equipment according to engineering drawings and production schedules
- Produce welded, mechanical, and electrical parts and assemblies to meet customer satisfaction
- Operate Forklift Trucks to load, unload, and transport goods in the warehouse
- Maintain upkeep of records with full traceability
- Manage area and equipment upkeep to reduce downtime and improve health and safety
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve performance in safety, quality, delivery, and cost
Requirements
- Level 4 HNC or equivalent associate degree (or working towards it)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in fitting or production of heavy plant
- Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings
- Proficiency with fitting tools, power hand tools, and powered table/pillar machines
- Welding training (MIG/TIG)
Preferred Qualifications
- Current weld qualification
- FLT (Forklift Truck) license
