About the role
Responsibilities
- Follow blueprints, guidelines, and diagrams to ensure product specifications and tolerance levels are met
- Perform troubleshooting, calibrations, and modifications of electrical hardware, fixtures, and software
- Use measuring and diagnostic tools to test and modify systems and components/assemblies
- Maintain accurate production records, including test data, time changes, and parts usage
- Utilize microelectronic, electronic, optical, or electro-optical equipment, including computers and lasers
- Rework and repair various electrical and electromechanical systems and components
- Provide technical solutions to engineering and assist with the design of printed circuit boards and prototypes
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED) or vocational/technical education in a related discipline
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
- Experience with component-level troubleshooting
- Experience reading schematics and blueprints
- Experience using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and/or spectrum analyzers
- Successful completion of the RTX Skillbridge internship program
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Electronics or a related certification
- 3-4 years of relevant experience in a component-level troubleshooting environment
- Experience in the aerospace industry
- Experience with thermal tables, vibrational tables, and test rigs
