Electrical Test Lab Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical tests on battery products and associated electrical/electronic components
• Record test data accurately
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment and systems
• Calibrate and maintain test equipment and tools
• Collaborate with engineers to develop and improve test procedures
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols
• Assist in the design and implementation of new test setups and systems
• Lead teams for continuous improvement using SES tools
• Support product engineering through test setup and data collection

Requirements

• High school diploma plus two years of specialized vocational training in electrical or electronics
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical testing
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in battery system and component testing
• Proficient with computers and programming automotive test equipment
• Mechanically inclined with ability to assemble specialized test fixtures

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and technical drawings
• Familiarity with basic chemistry
• Knowledge of programming automated test systems (Digatron, Bitorde, Enechron)
• Knowledge of testing battery systems (nickel cadmium, vented, and maintenance free)
• Understanding of SA9100 and FAA repair station regulations
