Electrical Test and Development Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support bring-up, testing, debugging, and validation of circuit cards and electronics assemblies
• Develop and execute electrical test plans and verification activities for boards and subsystems
• Troubleshoot electrical hardware using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters
• Support design validation, failure analysis, and root cause investigations
• Assist with test fixture design, data collection, and documentation of test results
• Support integration of electronics hardware with sensors, actuators, and embedded processors
• Assist with wire harness development, including design, fabrication, and assembly
• Support environmental and qualification testing including vibration, shock, and thermal cycling

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline
• 3+ years of professional electrical engineering experience
• Experience testing and validating electrical hardware for spacecraft, aerospace, or defense
• Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit fundamentals
• Hands-on experience with standard lab equipment like oscilloscopes and logic analyzers
• Proficiency reading schematics, PCB layouts, and electrical drawings
• Familiarity with Altium Designer or similar schematic capture tools
• Must be a U.S. citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident (ITAR compliance)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with flight-qualified or flight-intent hardware development
• Knowledge of communication protocols such as CAN, Ethernet, SPI, I2C, and UART
• Experience with EMI/EMC design practices and qualification testing
• Experience with environmental testing (vibration, shock, thermal, vacuum)
• Familiarity with aerospace standards and high-reliability design practices
