Electrical Technician

Responsibilities

• Execute routine preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment and control systems
• Assist in troubleshooting electrical and control system issues under supervision
• Support installation, testing, and basic commissioning activities for electrical components
• Collect and record inspection and test data for review by Engineers or Senior Technicians
• Monitor control panels and system performance under guidance
• Perform basic equipment inspections to identify potential issues
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, service reports, and inspection logs
• Follow all safety procedures and work instructions to ensure compliance and safe operations

Requirements

• Diploma, vocational training, or junior-level degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology
• 1–3 years of hands-on experience in electrical maintenance (power plant or heavy industry preferred)
• Basic understanding of electrical systems and equipment, including switchgear, transformers, and generators
• Basic knowledge of control systems and instrumentation
• Ability to follow defined troubleshooting procedures and escalate complex issues
• Strong attention to detail in documentation and task execution
• Commitment to safety standards and willingness to learn
