Electrical Technician

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical faults in trucks and heavy vehicles
• Troubleshoot vehicle electrical systems and components
• Respond to electrical breakdowns and maintenance requests
• Perform scheduled preventive electrical maintenance activities
• Inspect vehicle wiring, batteries, alternators, starters, and lighting systems
• Replace defective electrical parts and components
• Maintain maintenance records and inspection checklists
• Follow electrical safety procedures and company HSE requirements
• Assist in the installation and replacement of electrical systems in trucks
• Test newly installed electrical components to ensure proper functionality
• Update maintenance logs and service reports

Requirements

• Diploma in Electrical Technology, Electrical Engineering, or Automotive Electrical Systems
• 2–4 years of experience in electrical maintenance of trucks or heavy vehicles
• Knowledge of vehicle electrical systems, wiring, batteries, and sensors
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices
• Understanding of electrical safety standards and regulations
• Ability to use electrical testing and diagnostic equipment
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical manuals
