Electrical Technician I

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of electrical and electronic systems, production machinery, and PLC-driven equipment.
• Execute preventive maintenance activities and equipment changeovers to support production objectives.
• Assist with equipment inspections, installations, and system performance improvements.
• Support equipment and system power installations, including validation and qualification procedures.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, cGMPs, safety standards, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Utilize electrical/electronic diagnostic equipment and hand/power tools to resolve technical issues.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
• Completion of a four-year certified electrical/electronic apprenticeship program (minimum 8,000 OJT hours and 600 technical training hours).
• Knowledge of electrical circuitry, power distribution, electronic controls, sensors, and relays.
• Proficiency in reading wiring diagrams, schematics, and ladder logic diagrams.
• Ability to troubleshoot PC/PLC and HMI-based systems.
• Ability to operate a manlift as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Four years of equivalent experience as an electrician or electro-mechanical maintenance technician within the pharmaceutical or packaging industry.
