About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform installation, maintenance, and inspections of heavy equipment following OSHA and Enviva standards
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues related to PLC controlled devices, motor control centers, VFDs, and instrumentation
  • Wire, repair, and troubleshoot AC/DC circuits and 480V/4160V electrical distribution equipment
  • Maintain communication and IT technologies including D-Net, E-Net, and Fiber Optic
  • Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, process controls, and telemetry equipment
  • Monitor production parameters and adjust equipment to ensure safe and efficient performance

Requirements

  • At least two years of manufacturing experience
  • Four years of electrical experience
  • Proficiency with hand tools and power tools for repairing wiring, sensors, and fixtures
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Ability to interpret regulation codes, sketches, blueprints, and shop drawings
  • Ability to work in outdoor, hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environments
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights or in confined spaces

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School degree or equivalent plus four years of journey-level electrical experience
  • Completion of a technical training program plus two years of experience
  • Advanced degree or certification in electrical engineering or controls
  • Experience in a pellet mill or wood products manufacturing environment
  • Experience in PLC programming and working with automated devices
  • Proficiency in programming and troubleshooting DeviceNet, ControlNet, and Flex I/O
