Electrical Technician

Responsibilities

• Install wiring, conduit, junction boxes, lighting fixtures, LED strips, and power distribution systems within custom event builds and props
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, drawings, and technical specifications
• Install and programme DMX-controlled lighting, LED systems, and decorative electrical elements
• Test all electrical installations for safety, functionality, and compliance
• Diagnose and resolve electrical faults efficiently under deadline pressure
• Set up and manage temporary power distribution for events
• Ensure all electrical work complies with IEC standards and local regulations
• Attend event sites for installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and decommissioning
• Maintain stock of electrical components and consumables

Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years of experience as an Electrical Technician, preferably in events, exhibitions, theatre, or custom fabrication
• Recognised electrical qualification (City & Guilds, BTEC, or equivalent)
• Strong working knowledge of low-voltage systems, LED technology, DMX control, and power distribution
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
• Experience with temporary power setups for live events
• Knowledge of IEC/local electrical standards and safe working practices
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Valid driving licence preferred
