Electrical Technical Operations Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee all electrical and maintenance aspects for the company's fleet and private island resorts
• Ensure compliance with Flag State, Port State, international maritime regulations, and classification society requirements
• Manage vendors, onboard technical teams, and installation technicians to maintain company standards
• Provide shore-based technical support for electrical systems, machinery alarm and control systems, navigation equipment, and telecommunication systems
• Oversee maintenance documentation within company-approved systems and manage departmental budgets
• Implement Safety Management System (SMS) policies and procedures related to technical operating practices
• Coordinate with Marine Operations regarding GMDSS, radio communications, and electronic aids to navigation
• Support dry-dock operations for marine and technical machinery control systems

Requirements

• At least five years of experience in sea-going operations or ship management within marine or industrial engineering
• Strong understanding of electrical distribution, control systems, and automation
• Demonstrated experience with Hazardous areas installations and operations
• Proven ability to manage vendors, contractors, and technical teams
• Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for shipboard electrical, navigation, and telecommunication systems
• Proficiency with maintenance management systems (e.g., CMMS)
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally, including supporting vessel inspections and dry-docks
• Relevant Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent working experience

• Demonstrated experience working specifically within the cruise industry
• Professional training in maritime regulations
